Heffernan New York Branch Hires Michael Kertzner, Senior Vice President, Construction Practice

NEW YORK, Feb. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Heffernan Insurance Brokers, one of the largest full-service, independent insurance brokerage firms in the United States, recently hired Michael Kertzner to join its Manhattan office as Senior Vice President, Construction Practice.

Kertzner brings over ten years of experience to Heffernan in the area of construction management.  He holds a J.D. from New York Law School and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Florida.  After practicing law for a New York firm specializing in construction contract disputes, Kertzner most recently served as General Counsel/VP of Operations for a construction firm developing residential projects in Manhattan, Bronx and Brooklyn.  Kertzner is conversant with the complex and diverse issues that arise during development of construction projects, including acquisitions, contracts, dispute resolution, insurance and operations.
