The partners at Healthcare Solutions Team,
“Healthcare reform threw a major wrench in our operation,” Born admitted. “When faced with adversity people can either become paralyzed from fear or rise to the challenge and find new solutions. We are capitalizing on the modifications in legislation and in the marketplace.”
If annual sales figures are a reflection of Healthcare Solutions Team’s adaptability, then the company has already succeeded. Revenue nearly doubled from 2010 to 2011 as changes in healthcare insurance started taking effect.
“When the adjustments started happening with healthcare reform we stood fast and decided that as a company our obligation was to always protect our clients,” he continued. “We can’t alter the law, so we ensure our agents are all well educated on it. As 2014 grows near, Healthcare Solutions Team will continue to help with the transition to healthcare reform law regulated plans.
“I learned something a long time ago—the ABCs of business: ability, breaks and courage,” said Eichman. “You have to have some ability, some skill and a little bit of luck—plus courage to go out, start your own thing and keep going when things get tough.”
He noted that right now is a challenging time in the healthcare insurance industry because of all the changes that are occurring. But he agreed with Born saying that this has allowed Healthcare Solutions Team to become an industry leader.
“We are offering agents a real professional opportunity in a down economy,” said Eichman. “But even more, everyone within the company—from the receptionist to the CFO—is tied to the company’s profitability.”
To keep everyone motivated, Healthcare Solutions Team provides bonuses to agents and office staff weekly, monthly and annually. Plus there are company trips, and profit sharing at the end of the year.
“The ‘secret’ to building a successful culture: we spoil our agents, spoil our staff, and make people want to come to work,” he said. “It’s amazing how simple that is, but it works.”
Eichman is a true believer in karma: “The more you give, the more it comes back to you,” he said. “We are helping change lives, both our clients’ and our employees’.”
Healthcare Solutions Team is one of the country’s premier health and dental insurance agencies and has experienced phenomenal growth since its inception in 2007. Based in
In addition to being listed in the 2012 “Inc. 500|5000,” Healthcare Solutions Team has been named America’s #1
