Business Wire, Inc.

Industry veteran brings solid track record leading development of enterprise-class healthcare offerings

BURLINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- HealthEdge®, provider of the only modern, enterprise-class software platform for healthcare payors, today announced the appointment of Gil Benghiat as Vice President of Engineering. Gil will be responsible for leading HealthEdge’s software engineering organization, and for overseeing the development, testing, documentation and support of the HealthRules product suite. He brings to HealthEdge many years of experience building and operating world-class engineering organizations, and a solid track record of delivering cutting-edge, enterprise-class software products to the market.

“We are excited to add Gil to the HealthEdge leadership team,” said Rob Gillette, HealthEdge’s CEO, “and we look forward to leveraging his experience and expertise as we continue to expand the award-winning HealthRules product suite. Under Gil‘s guidance, we will further enhance our products in support of new healthcare business models, and we will continue to push the envelope in terms of our ability to quickly provide cutting-edge solutions that address rapidly evolving customer and market needs.”

“HealthEdge has experienced unprecedented growth thanks in no small part to the power, flexibility and capabilities of the patented HealthRules platform,” said Benghiat. “I am looking forward to working closely with the team to continue the expansion of our offerings and our development capabilities, and to address the many emerging needs of the new healthcare marketplace. I am thrilled to have joined the company at such an exciting time, and I am looking forward to playing a significant role in its continued success.”

Before joining HealthEdge, Gil was Vice President of Engineering at Phreesia, where he was responsible for the development of a healthcare provider management system. Prior to Phreesia, Gil served as Vice President of Engineering at LeapFrogRx, where he led the development of a next-generation analytics offering for pharmaceutical companies. Gil has also held leadership positions at Relicore, Phase Forward, NetCentric, and Sybase.

Gil holds an MS in Computer Science from Stanford University.
