Guardian Makes New Hire, Strengthens Voluntary Market Impact

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America (Guardian), one of the nation’s largest mutual life insurers and a leading provider of employee benefits, announced that Michael Martocci has joined the Group Benefits management team as 2^nd Vice President, Worksite Markets. This appointment follows several enhancements to Guardian’s worksite offerings which will further position the voluntary business for accelerated growth.

Martocci will lead Guardian’s planned expansion in the Worksite market. He joins Guardian from ING, where he served as Regional Director of the Mid-Atlantic region for Worksite and Voluntary products. Prior to that, his vast experience in employee benefits is highlighted by leadership roles in product development and sales at AFLAC, Colonial Life and AIG.
