Great American Insurance Group Names Richard Suter as Divisional VP [Professional Services Close – Up]

Great American Insurance Group has announced the hiring of Richard (Rich) Suter as Divisional Vice President of the Property and Casualty Group's Alternative Markets Division.
In a release, the Company said that in his new role, Suter will lead the marketing efforts for the Alternative Markets Division as well as oversee the development of the new Elite Program platform. This new distribution model will create an exclusive relationship with retail agents who have distinguished themselves as niche industry specialists handling retail accounts, with a focus on package business. He will be based in Hartford, Connecticut.
Suter practiced law privately for several years before joining St. Paul as an Underwriting Director of Small Commercial Accounts. Suter spent the past eight years as Assistant Vice President for The Hartford, where he was responsible for all business development in the company's Captive and Specialty Programs Division.
Great American Insurance Group's roots go back to 1872 with the founding of its flagship company, Great American Insurance Company. Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, the operations of Great American Insurance Group are engaged primarily in property and casualty insurance, focusing on specialty commercial products for businesses, and in the sale of traditional fixed and indexed annuities.
