GlobalOptions Introduces Rapid Video Feature to Its GlobalTrak™ Risk Management System
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- GlobalOptions Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: GLOI), a leading provider of domestic and international risk management services, today announced the launch of the newest feature of its proprietary GlobalTrakâ„¢ Risk Management System: a rapid upload and delivery of surveillance video. The new feature creates significant time and cost savings to GlobalOptions clients, as it allows investigators to upload surveillance video directly into the GlobalTrak system, and gives clients next-day access to the streaming files.
GlobalTrak is GlobalOptions’ online enterprise risk mitigation and management solution for companies investigating fraud and potential fraud, including insurance carriers, third-party administrators, legal firms, public entities and Fortune 500 companies.
“GlobalOptions is leading the industry in applying current technology to what was once the time-consuming process of claims investigations by changing the way our customers investigate fraud,†said Franklin Pinder, President of GlobalOptions’ Fraud & SIU division. “By using rapid video, rapid data and training features, GlobalTrak can facilitate the completion of investigations that may have taken weeks of work within mere days and for a fraction of the cost. Rapid video, our newest capability, provides our clients with increased value and convenience by taking several steps and costs out of the equation of obtaining surveillance video as they investigate claims. We’re continuing to add features to our GlobalTrak platform and the rapid video capability is another component of our soon-to-be-introduced GlobalTrak 3.0 platform.â€
Prior to GlobalOptions’ rapid video feature, investigators would take video, then send the video tapes via an overnight courier service to a central processing facility at one of GlobalOptions offices. The tapes would then be catalogued and uploaded into GlobalTrak for client viewing. This entire process would take on average five days to complete requiring both the out of pocket expenses of the courier service as well as additional hourly costs for the investigator and GlobalOptions personnel. Using the rapid video feature, once the video has been shot, the investigator securely uploads the footage directly into GlobalTrak, where it is client-ready within 24 hours. This represents considerable cost savings, and up to an 80 percent decrease in the time required before clients can view the video footage. This time savings will contribute to more rapid processing of insurance claims, and faster completion of fraud investigations.
In addition, GlobalTrak continues to offer its full suite of risk management tools, including evidence processing, evidence management, and audio and video surveillance file management. This includes the recently introduced rapid data and investigation licensure training features, as announced by GlobalOptions over the last quarter. GlobalTrak provides client companies with contacts and status reports in real time, allowing more efficient internal management of assignments, evidence, and reporting. The company is also currently working on further enhancements to the GlobalTrak system, which will be introduced soon as GlobalTrak 3.0.
