Glasgow police make several arrests

Glasgow Daily Times, Ky.
By Glasgow Daily Times, Ky.
McClatchy-Tribune Information Services

Aug. 07--GLASGOW -- According to arrest citations issued by the Glasgow Police Department:

On Aug. 5, Kenneth Ray Pulliam, Jr., 41, of Glasgow, was arrested for no/expired registration plates, possession of open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, operating on suspended/revoked operators license, failure of non-owner to maintain required insurance (first offense) and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs (first offense).

GPD Officer Nick Houchens observed Pulliam traveling on Front Street and the plate was cancelled for failure to maintain insurance (confirmed by dispatch), the citation said. Upon contact with Pulliam, Houchens observed him eyes to be red and glassy and Houchens detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the vehicle. Houchens could see in plain view in the vehicle an open beer can, and asked Pulliam if he had consumed an alcoholic beverage, the citation said. Pulliam stated that he had consumed several beers. Houchens had Pulliam exit the vehicle, and asked if he had an operator's license and Pulliam stated no. Sobriety tests were administered and Pulliam failed.

Pulliam was lodged at Barren County Detention Center in lieu of a $500 bond.

On Aug. 5, Michael E. Carlson, 35, of Glasgow, was arrested for third-degree criminal trespassing, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia (buy/possess).

GPD Officer Brandon Fletcher received a complaint from the housing authority stating Carlson was at 153 McGrah Ave. after he had been banned by housing. GPD Sgt. Bradley Lewis gained consent to search the residence where several small roaches in a back bedroom and a pipe and bowl were found.

Carlson was lodged at Barren County Detention Center in lieu of $500 bond.

On Aug. 5, Desiree Lynn Watkins, 29, of Glasgow, was arrested for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence, no visible injury).

GPD Sgt. Charlie Eubank observed Watkins and a male subject arguing at 135 E. Main St. GPD Lt. Col. James Duff saw Watkins smack a male subject while they were arguing. Duff, GPD Major Eddie Lindsey and Eubank were standing in the GPD parking lot and saw the altercation, the citation said.

Contact was made with both subjects after the assault, and Watkins stated that the male subject, Jeffrey Davis, is her live-in boyfriend, and that she got mad and smacked him. Watkins also stated that this was her sexual foreplay with her boyfriend, although they were both visibly upset and arguing, the citation said. Watkins admitted to smacking her boyfriend, and was cuffed and lodged at Barren County Detention Center in lieu of a $500 bond.
