Get Covered APS! APS Medicaid Enrollment Event on Saturday, August 23rd

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., Aug. 14 -- Albuquerque Public Schools issued the following news:

Enroll in Medicaid or get a certified health care guide that provides information on applying for Medicaid or insurance on New Mexico's Health Care Exchange. This free event will be held in the cafeteria at Albuquerque High School from 9 am to 1 pm on Saturday, August 23, 2014. Albuquerque High School is located at 800 Odelia Rd NE (map (https://maps.google.com/maps?q=800+Odelia+Road+Northeast,+Albuquerque,+NM&hl=en&sll=35.08241,-106.676479&sspn=0.512453,1.056747&oq=800+od&hnear=800+Odelia+Rd+NE,+Albuquerque,+New+Mexico+87102&t=m&z=17)).

This event will also include free food, drinks,and activities for children!

"Because health-related issues can be barriers to learning, APS is working on ways for students and families to be healthier," said Brian Bolding, Medicaid enrollment coordinator in the APS Student, Family, and Community Supports Division. "We at APS believe that a healthier student is a more successful student."

To Make Enrollment Faster...

Individuals wanting to enroll may want to bring: proof of citizenship, tribal status or immigration status (such as social security number, birth certificate, etc.), picture ID, proof of residency, proof of income, proof of household size, and/or last 3 months of unpaid medical bills (if any).
