Forget About Green Belts and Black Belts; QI Macros Announes Lean Six Sigma Complimentary Money Belt Training Online

Denver, CO (PRWEB) June 28, 2011

KnowWare International Inc. announces its free, Lean Six Sigma Money Belt video training. Six Sigma has focused on creating Green Belts and Black Belts, but what companies need are Money Belts: someone who can quickly find ways to eliminate the three demons that consume a third of business revenue: delay, defects and deviation.

Most service and manufacturing companies have sluggish, error-prone processes that irritate customers and employees alike. Lean Six Sigma can help, but corporate leaders often perceive it as taking too long and costing too much.

Typical 5-to-20 day Lean Six Sigma training covers the "long tail" of methods and tools, which is only needed by 2 people out of every 100 that actually work on a manufacturing floor.

The other 98 people work in services, sales, marketing, purchasing, accounting, and so on. They only need a handful of methods and tools used in the right order to start finding and fixing problems that consume a third or more of total revenues. These are the people who can most benefit from becoming a Money Belt.

Using Lean Six Sigma Money Belt methods and tools, Jay Arthur, author of Lean Six Sigma Demystified, Lean Six Sigma for Hospitals and the Money Belt video training, helped: a phone company save $20 million in postage and $16 million in adjustment costs; a healthcare system save $400,000 a month in denied insurance claims, that's almost $5 million a year; and a wireless phone company reduce order errors from 17% to 3% in just six months, saving $3 million a year.

He's lived through a wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling implementation of Lean Six Sigma methods. He's made all of the mistakes and learned how to avoid them by applying Lean Six Sigma to itself to mistake-proof projects and implementation.

From Jay's perspective, there are too many people trained and certified as belts. Too many teams started. And not enough measurable results. This causes most Lean Six Sigma programs to fail after about three years.

This YouTube-based Money Belt training is a series of short videos covering the handful of methods and tools required to solve most operational problems. Participants can watch them over and over to master the skills and tools. There are case studies and exercises in the Money Belt Dojo to test participant skills. Don’t waste time on expensive training. Be a Money Belt!
Readers can start taking the Money Belt Training at http://www.lean-six-sigma-money-belt.com.

While the tools for Lean are mainly Post-it™ Notes, Six Sigma needs software to analyze data about defects and deviation. The QI Macros Software for Excel contains 30+ charts and 90+ fill-in-the-blank templates for simplifying the complexities of Lean Six Sigma. At only $199 +S&H, they are the least expensive, most robust solution available on the market.
