Fidelity Ins launches Home-Owners’ Security Campaign [Cayman Net News, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands]
Apr. 22--On Wednesday April 14, Fidelity Insurance announced that it has begun offering a package that includes discounts on home security systems and insurance. The new package is a response to growing public concern over home and personal security.
The package includes a free home security review, discounts on approved monitored alarm systems, together with discounts on home insurance.
Richard Scrivens, Fidelity Insurance Business Development Executive, explained the objectives of the home-owners security initiative:-
"We wanted to provide an affordable solution to some of the current public concerns over personal and property protection. So we have teamed up with selected security company partners, Island Electronics Limited, and The Security Centre, to offer our customers discounts on home security alarm systems and, once installed, a further discount on their Fidelity home-owners' insurance. Statistically, people with a home security system are four times less likely to be broken into, so we're really hoping for a good response to this initiative."
"Owning a home security system is the best defense against crime, fire and other safety hazards. We want to assist in helping people to better protect themselves, and feel that this is a meaningful way to do so."
Mr. Scrivens indicated that the lower risk associated with monitored alarm systems was one of the reasons that a discount on insurance policy payments could be offered to customers.
Present at the press conference announcing the new plan were Stuart Bostock, Chief Executive Officer of the Security Centre Ltd and David Foster, Sales and operations Manager, Island Electronic Security and Monitoring Ltd. Both companies are providing comparable services in monitored alarm systems, in order to provide customers with a choice.
