FCCI Names New Chief Information Officer

Craig Johnson, president & chief executive officer of Sarasota-based property and casualty insurer FCCI Insurance Group (FCCI) recently announced that Paul Ayoub has joined FCCI as senior vice president & chief information officer.

Ayoub brings with him more than 28 years of P&C industry experience, most recently as vice president & CIO at Hastings Mutual Insurance Company. Ayoub also held the positions of senior vice president & CIO at Employers Holdings, Inc.; senior vice president & CIO at PMA Capital Corporation; and vice president of corporate systems at CIGNA.

At FCCI, Ayoub will lead the effort to increase the company’s “ease of doing business” by putting more tools in the independent agents’ hands through initiatives like FCCI Connect, the web-based platform that will work with agency management systems to give FCCI agents the means to upload client data into one single system for insurance policy rating, quoting and issuance.

A new policy administration system is also in the works for regionally-focused FCCI, which recently expanded into Virginia and Maryland and now provides agribusiness/farmowners, automobile, crime, general liability, inland marine, property, commercial and contract surety, umbrella, and workers’ compensation insurance coverage to more than 23,000 business insurance customers in 15 states, with plans to expand operations into Texas later in 2012.
