edge IPK, a provider of edgeConnect, an insurance industry user experience platform (UXP) designed to provide the optimal user experience to any insurance user, through any device, browser, and language, said that
In a release, the Company said that edgeConnect was chosen to help Ecclesiastical enhance its existing systems by enabling a modern online presence. edgeConnect will allow Ecclesiastical to extend the use of it policy administration system to any and all authorized users, creating an ideal user environment for policy transactions.
edge IPK said that edgeConnect will also enable Ecclesiastical to deliver new multi-channel distribution capabilities by taking advantage of edgeConnect's 'configure once - distribute anywhere' model. A channel planned for production use is Ecclesiastical's broker community.
The edge IPK solution will be integrated with Ecclesiastical's Insure Plus (I+) Administration System, allowing Ecclesiastical to achieve a greater return on previous technology investments, while also benefiting from the agility a UXP provides: rapid delivery of user experiences, regardless of the user, device, channel, browser or language.
Commenting on the edgeConnect decision, Mike Burnup, Ecclesiastical's IT Director, said, "Ecclesiastical has a long term vision of becoming a fully web enabled business. With edgeConnect we will now have a way to maximize the benefits from our back-office investment and extend their reach to online users. edge IPK has provided us with a user experience platform that not only enables us to enhance the user experience for our customers, but also allows us to get products to market at a speed which will give us a significant competitive advantage."
