Valley National Bancorp in Wayne named Anthony Catanese first vice president and portfolio manager of the Valley National Bank cash value line of credit. His role will include identifying potential financial professionals and customers and assisting in sales opportunities.

Catanese joined the company in 1984 and has worked in a number of departments over the last 30 years.

Construction

Bums & McDonnell, an engineering, architecture and construction management firm in Piscatway, hired Paulo Silva as regional head of global cyber security practice. He will be critical in helping clients to adapt effective risk management programs.

With more than 15 years of experience, Silva most recently worked as cliief information security advisor for PECO and as the global head of data protection for Citigroup SVP.

Consulting

JVlary Jo McWilliams joins Connor Strong & Buckelew, a leading brokerage and consulting firm based in Marlton, as vice president and consultant for the firm's employee benefits division.

With more than 30 years of experience, McWilliams began her career with John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company and most recently served as the lead consultant for Kelly Benefit Strategies.

Since 2005, McWilliams has also served on the Board of Trustees of her alma mater, Merion Mercy Academy.

Finance

Timothy Wilms-Crowley of Next Generation Trust Services, a professional third-party administrator of self-directed retirement plans, has been promoted to compliance manager for self-directed IRAs. He previously served as the firm's transaction supervisor.

In his new role, Wilms-Crowley will train for CISP certification, receive ongoing industry compliance training and represent Next Generation Trust Services at regulatory conferences.

Law

Ahsan A. Jafry joins the Cherry Hill office of Bums Whites LLC, where he will continue to practice medical malpractice law.

Recognized with the New Jersey Super Lawyers Rising Stars distinction since 2012, Jafry also serves on the New Jersey Supreme Court'sCommittee on Model Civil Jury Charges and teaches trial advocacy as an adjunct professor of Law at Rutgers School of Law-Camden.

Jafry graduated from Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law in 2004.

Nonprofit

The Gateway Family YMCA promoted Danielle Cioffi to district executive director, where she will now oversee all dayto-day operations at both the Elizabeth Branch and the Five Points Branch in Union. She was most recently the branch executive director at the Five Points Branch, with previous experience as summer camp director and in school age child care.

Cioffi holds a bachelor's degree in health and fitness management from Concordia University and a master's degree in sports management from Indiana University.

Real Estate

Richardson Commercial Realtors in Trenton hired sales associates Christopher Scully, Jonah Pascucci and Ray Helmich.

Scully, a Marlton and Ewing native, has prior experience in the food industry. He recently completed a concentrated curriculum in commercial real estate.

Prior to joining Richardson Commercial, Pascucci formed LandMark Real Estate Partners. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from New School University in Manhattan and is continuing his education by working toward a CCM designation.

Helmich's diverse background includes positions as a test development specialist, co-owner of a residential heating and air conditioning company, a staff engineer at Princeton University, employment with American Standard and General Electric and a performer with local orchestras. He also currently serves as the vice president of the Evergreen Homeowners Asso cation.
