David Goltz Appointed CFO of Sterling Life Insurance Company
David Goltz has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of Sterling. Goltz has over 20 years experience in financial and management positions in insurance and healthcare. He has a successful track record in both large organizations and small; particularly in pivots, high-growth situations and new startups (see also Managed Care).
"I'm looking forward to working with Dave at Sterling. His broad Medicare managed care background and success in growing both new and established companies will be a tremendous asset as we grow Sterling's network health plans and further develop our managed care capabilities," said Sterling CEO Michael Muchnicki.
For the last five years, Goltz has served as CFO of Fidelis Senior Care, Inc., a start-up MA Special Needs Plan with HMOs in three states. He played a key role in raising the necessary capital to fund the growth and development of the company. He also negotiated and implemented a national provider network that allowed the company to expand to new service areas.
Goltz also worked as Regional CFO in New York for AmeriChoice, the Medicaid Managed Care subsidiary of United Health Group, where he helped lead the company back to profitability, while implementing operational efficiencies and compliance measures.
Previously, Goltz was CFO for Destiny Health, a new start-up, consumer-driven health insurance company, and Vice President and CFO of Centene Corporation, a fully integrated multi-state government services managed care company located in St. Louis.
Goltz has an MBA from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas and earned his B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh.
