Dana Downes & Shari Trefil Join Maritime Program Group

Maritime Program Group (MPG) announced a significant expansion and restructure of their Recreational Marine division with the additional of two very talented new crew members, Dana Downes and Shari Trefil.

As the Vice President of MPG’s Recreational Marine division, Dana assumes the overall responsibilities for all commercial recreational marine business written with New Hampshire Insurance Company, North American Specialty and Chubb. Dana's experience in recreational marine underwriting dates back to the late 80's when he was a Regional Manager for the New Hampshire Insurance Company. In 1990, Dana helped found and run Marine MGA’s North American Specialty recreational marine program, where he stayed until 2010. Most recently Dana was the Director of Marine for the Hanover Insurance Group. Dana will be based out of Manchester, NH.

Shari brings with her 23 years of experience in the insurance industry, mostly having managed retail and wholesale recreational marine departments. As a Sr. Broker for MPG, Shari will work with new and existing broker relationships to cross sell MPG's products and to access markets for risks that fall outside the appetite of MPG's in-house programs. We're very excited to have Shari's brokerage expertise put to work for our producer partners. Shari will be based out of Stuart, FL.
