CounselLink Matter Management Software from LexisNexis Now Integrated with Microsoft Outlook
Outlook Integration Combined with More Robust Matter Management FeaturesHelps Make LexisNexis CounselLink an Indispensible Tool for Corporate Legal Departments
āWith the new Outlook integration, CounselLink users can access their e-billing and matter management information through their Outlook application ā a tool that attorneys are comfortable with and know very well,ā said
Users will see a new task pane inside Outlook, allowing them to track and view matter-specific data stored within the CounselLink service. If they need more detailed information about a specific matter or series of matters, users can click on the full set of data stored in CounselLink without logging in separately. Attorneys can monitor a āMy Mattersā list from the CounselLink pane within Outlook to immediately know what action is needed. They can also drag and drop emails and documents between Outlook and CounselLink to capture and categorize information and create a consolidated, matter-centric view available to all authorized users.
In addition to the integration with Outlook, CounselLink has greatly strengthened its matter management capabilities with the introduction of two important features:
- Expanded Matter Types: A multi-tiered classification system enables users to categorize and organize matter-specific information into additional sub-types (e.g. practice area, matter type, area of law) to help facilitate allocation of resources.
- One
Click Mass Action : One click updates all selected records across the system, saving time by reducing repetitive data entry when matter information related to individual contact data, calendar templates, custom data fields, budget fields, etc., is added or changed.
āThe new CounselLink platform represents a renewed commitment by LexisNexis to providing industry-leading matter management and e-billing solutions that are user-friendly and that deliver real benefits to corporate legal teams,ā Schuett continued.
