Continuing to expand in Southern California Edgewood Partners Insurance Center adds Principal Joe Cotugna, AAI in the Inland Empire [California Newswire]

Simmons, Christopher
By Simmons, Christopher
Proquest LLC

ONTARIO, Calif. /California Newswire/ -- Edgewood Partners Insurance Center (EPIC), a retail property, casualty and employee benefits insurance brokerage, has added Joe Cotugna as a property and casualty insurance producer in its Inland Empire Division. Cotugna brings 23 years of experience in risk management, with a focus on the food industry and construction to EPIC.

Cotugna's responsibilities will include the acquisition of new clients as well as the design, placement and management of risk management and property and casualty insurance programs. He will report to Dan Ryan, managing principal of EPIC's Inland Empire Division.

"Joe's client focus, personal ties to the Inland Empire and proven ability to deliver creative, cost effective solutions make him a great fit for EPIC," said EPIC co-founder Dan Francis. "We are excited to have another professional of Joe's caliber join our growing Inland Empire team."

Prior to joining EPIC, Cotugna was a producer for Hays Companies, based in Ontario, CA. Cotugna began his career with the State Compensation Insurance Fund as a claims adjustor and sales representative, subsequently owned his own brokerage, and also served in management at a large regional brokerage.

Cotugna earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from California State University, San Bernardino. Professionally, he holds the Accredited Adviser in Insurance (AAI) designation.

A lifelong resident of the Inland Empire, Cotugna is involved in numerous local charities including Santa Claus Inc, an organization devoted to helping underprivileged kids enjoy the Christmas season, and HEAL, which supports abandoned animals.

"EPIC is all about delivering real value and a high return to their clients," said Cotugna. "They have exciting plans for growth in the Inland Empire and I appreciate that innovation and personal accountability are key parts of EPIC's foundation. These are the principle reasons I chose this company and why I'm truly excited to be here."
