We have taken great care in selecting the FSA approved partners who our customers will have access to through our site with a view to providing quotations in what is an extremely specialist sector of the car insurance market. In doing so, we have taken not only price into account, which is an important factor for most people in the current economic climate, but also the quality of the features and benefits of the insurance cover provided by them."
Classic car insurance provides a choice of third party, third party fire and theft and comprehensive cover. Some of the other benefits that can be included are:
   • Motor Legal costs.
   • Salvage retention.
   •Â
   • EU cover for up to 90 days.
   • Unlimited cover for track days arranged by
   • Historic hill climb, sprint and rally cover.
   • Breakdown and recovery in the
   • Multiple car cover on one policy.
Two other options require a little more explanation:
"Agreed Value" cover guarantees to pay out an agreed sum should your car be written off based on a number of factors about your car such as mileage, condition and the restoration level achieved. The same make and model of classic car owned by someone else may not be in as good condition as yours and, therefore, worth considerably less.
"Laid Up" cover enables the car to be covered for fire, theft and accidental damage with reduced premiums reflecting the fact that the vehicle is not being driven for a period due perhaps to your classic car being off the road for restoration or garaged during the winter months.
If you are able to limit your annual mileage to say 1500, 3000, 4500 or 6000 a discount is often provided.
