Chico’s FAS, Inc. Licenses APT’s Test & Learn Management System

Washington, DC (PRWEB) August 30, 2011

Applied Predictive Technologies (APT) announced today that Chico’s FAS, Inc. (Chico’s) has signed an agreement to license APT’s Test & Learn Management System. Chico’s chose APT after a pilot project which examined a range of the retailer’s promotional strategies. Using APT’s Test & Learn approach during the pilot, Chico’s gained valuable insights that helped it better understand its customers’ behavior. Going forward Chico’s plans to apply the Test & Learn system to optimize a wide range of business initiatives, in areas including marketing, merchandising, store operations, media mix, new product launches, and pricing.

Over 50 Global 2000 retailers, financial institutions, manufacturers, hotels, and restaurants use APT’s Test & Learn suite to develop more strategic and informed decision-making. Using APT’s solutions, retailers can mitigate the risk of any new initiative by systematically testing the idea with a subset of stores, customers, or employees, thereby gaining empirical insights as to whether, how, and where to roll forward that idea.

“In the highly competitive and fast-moving world of apparel retail, there is need for in-depth testing and analysis in a controlled environment. We have seen how APT’s solution is able to rapidly design and test high-impact ideas before rolling them out to the entire store chain or customer base. The ability to confidently predict the impact of potential outcomes will build on Chico’s ability to quickly bring the best merchandise and shopping experience to our customers,” said Todd Vogensen, Vice President, Financial Planning and Strategy at Chico's.

“For more than two decades, Chico’s has been the leader in women’s fashion retailing. We are proud to partner with Chico’s on further improving pricing, promotions, marketing, and other strategic decisions,” said Patrick O’Reilly, President and COO of APT.
