Capital Insurance Group names Jones & Maulding Insurance Agency as Ventura Agency of the Year

MONTEREY, Calif., March 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Jones & Maulding Insurance Agency, based in Oxnard, CA, was named Capital Insurance Group® (CIG) Ventura Agency of the Year for 2012.  CIG, the leading regional property and casualty insurer serving the Western U.S., selected the company for the annual award based upon its performance, relationship commitment, and largest overall sales growth. 

The company was founded in 1952 by Robert Matthews but purchased by Southern California native Tim Jones in 1972.  Dave Maulding later joined as a partner in 1978, growing the team from three to sixteen employees; four of which have been with the company for more than 20 years.  The agency represents many quality insurance companies, both regionally and nationally, and has represented CIG since 1983.  Tim and Dave have also played a major role in the CIG Agency Council with Tim serving multiple terms as head of the Council.
