C.V. Starr Names New Marketing Manager

C. V. Starr & Co. Inc. said it's appointed Jacob Sokol as marketing manager.Sokol will be responsible for C.V. Starr's marketing efforts as the company continues to strengthen and expand its insurance operations, the company said in a statement. Sokol has more than nine years of insurance industry experience, most recently as assistant branch manager for C.V. Starr & Co. (California)'s New York office. C.V. Starr & Co. (California) is an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of C. V. Starr & Co. Inc. Sokol joined the company, which is a managing agency and underwriter, in 2006 as a senior underwriter. Attempts to reach the company for additional comment were not immediately successful.C. V. Starr & Co. is a privately held global investment holding company with insurance agencies and a portfolio of global investments. The company's chairman and chief executive officer is Maurice R. Greenberg, who retired as chairman and CEO of American International Group in 2005 after more than 40 years with the company. Earlier this month, C.V. Starr & Co.
