CHRISTUS Physician Group adds to its Primary Care Network

Amy Elizabeth Amo Shivone, MD, and Megan R. Williams Khmelev, MD, recently joined the CHRISTUS Physician Group (CPG), a network of local physicians in San Antonio.

The addition of Dr. Shivone and Dr. Williams Khmelev to CPG is an example of CHRISTUS Santa Rosa's commitment to provide access to convenient, high-quality health care close to home. Dr. Shivone joins Dr. Marisa Emmons at CHRISTUS Family Medicine Alamo Heights, and Dr. Williams Khmelev joins Dr. David Mullican at CHRISTUS Family Medicine Medical Center.

A native of San Antonio and a graduate of Alamo Heights High School, Dr. Shivone is a boardcertified family medicine physician. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University, and then she attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Shivone completed her residency at the CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Family Medicine Residency Program.

Through her philosophy of care, she delivers a comprehensive approach to caring for the individual within the context of family, from every day common ailments to life changing diseases, such as diabetes and heart disease. Dr. Megan Williams Khmelev proudly served our country in the United States Air Force, where she most recently served as Staff Family Physician under the Deputy Medical Director. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Duke University and her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She then completed her residency in family practice at the CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Family Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Williams Khmelev's clinical interests include emergency medicine, international medicine, and women's health. She speaks Spanish, French, and Russian and is welcoming new patients.
