Burleson LLP Further Diversifies Capabilities In San Antonio

PR Newswire Association LLC

SAN ANTONIO, June 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Burleson LLP today announced the addition of two partners – Matthew Brysacz and Marcella Della Casa – to its San Antonio office, fueling the firm's regional growth strategy to deliver comprehensive legal services to clients in the region and abroad.

Matthew Brysacz

Brysacz is an experienced lawyer who focuses his practice on estate tax, estate planning, probate, and trust matters.  Della Casa, who has practiced law for more than 15 years, is an accomplished trial attorney whose background includes commercial and civil defense matters.

Alex Perez, Managing Partner of Burleson'sSan Antonio location, said the broad, deep backgrounds of both Brysacz and Della Casa will deliver significant benefits to clients in and out of the energy industry.

"We are committed to building upon the diversity of skills and services we provide clients, and Matt and Marcella underscore that focus," Perez explained. "Matt has a wide range of knowledge on virtually every issue impacting estate planning and probate, which will further strengthen this critical practice area for our domestic and non-U.S. high net-worth clients. Marcella's background as a multilingual, seasoned trial lawyer – combined with her impressive knowledge of the courtrooms throughout South Texas – will add tremendous value to our energy-focused litigation services."

Brysacz represents a number of large landowners in the Eagle Ford region, protecting wealth through strategies aimed at asset protection and estate tax reduction.  He also focuses on representing closely held, family-owned businesses in corporate matters, real estate and estate planning transactions, and succession planning.

"One of the things that appealed to me most about Burleson is the reputation among the firm's attorneys for building trusting relationships with clients," said Brysacz.  "That couldn't be more important to the closely held businesses I represent.  The firm's broad-based commitment to delivering top-notch service and counsel – combined with the extensive capabilities and expertise of its lawyers – made the decision to join a no-brainer."

Fluent in both Spanish and Italian, Della Casa brings a unique understanding to domestic and Latin American litigation matters.  She has obtained numerous total defense verdicts as first chair trial lawyer in cases where the amount sought exceeded $1 million.

"Burleson recognizes the big picture by taking the time to know the legal issues impacting their clients and building growth strategies that reflect the concerns driving the regions in which they operate," said Della Casa.  "Litigation is rarely pleasant, which is why having access to effective trial lawyers is a critical necessity to companies with interests in the Eagle Ford.  I'm excited to join a firm that understands how important a strong litigation practice is to the region, and I am committed to bringing clients the resources they need to seek favorable outcomes."

Since opening in 2010, Burleson'sSan Antonio location has grown to more than 20 attorneys who work in the Weston Centre on the downtown River Walk.  They provide a full range of legal services to companies in South Texas and the Permian Basin, and several attorneys are licensed to practice in Mexico.
