Burglary, rape among 26 indictments

April 03--Burglary, theft and a rape charge top the list of indictments handed down March 20, by a Rowan County grand jury.

Indicted were:

--Alexandria M. Ball, 22, also known as Alley Whitaker, for theft by unlawful taking when she allegedly took $462.62 in merchandise from Walmart on March 28, 2014.

Ball also was indicted for fleeing/evading police and two counts wanton endangerment.

--Calvin B. Carter, 48, for receiving stolen property when he allegedly sold $1,020 in collectable straight razors, throwing knives and various other knives belonging to Guy Nantell on Feb. 11.

--In a separate indictment, Carter was indicted for receiving stolen property when he allegedly scrapped a $700 vehicle belonging to ADM Auto Sales on Aug. 11, 2014.

--In a third indictment, Carter was indicted for receiving stolen property when he allegedly sold $800 in antiques, a tiller, a floor jack and car batteries belonging to Mike Armstrongbetween Jan. 21 and Jan. 22.

--Carl Richard Carter, 52, for receiving stolen property when he allegedly scrapped a $700 vehicle belonging to ADM Auto Sales on Aug. 11, 2014.

--Michelle Carter, 27, for criminal possession of a forged instrument when she allegedly passed a $200 check at American Tax Service drawn on the account of Guy Nantell on Feb. 11.

--Timothy E. Fultz Jr., 22, for rape when he allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse with a 17-year-old female by forcible compulsion on Feb. 24.

--Charles Jonathan Ingram, 34, for possession of a controlled substance when he allegedly had heroin in his possession on Dec. 23, 2014.

Ingram also was indicted for possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs.

--Robert L. Ingram, 32, for unemployment insurance fraud when he allegedly received $9,176 in benefits he was not entitled from Dec. 25, 2009 to April 10, 2010.

--Dennis Carlton Keeton, 39, for theft by unlawful taking when he allegedly took a purse and its contents worth $707 belonging to Nancy Crouch on May 14, 2009.

--Joseph C. Neely, 26, for possession of a controlled substance when he allegedly had heroin in his possession on Aug. 28, 2014.

Neely also was indicted for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

--Michael Steven Rose, 43, for possession of a handgun by a convicted felon when he allegedly had a semiautomatic pistol in his possession on Feb. 3.

--Walter Clifton White, 43, for two counts possession of a controlled substance when he allegedly had heroin and alprazolam in his possession on July 9, 2014.

White also was indicted for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, failure to maintain required insurance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

--Jonathan R. Price, 27, a/k/a Chase Price for receiving stolen property when he allegedly sold $925 in collectable coins belonging to Jackie Hill between Dec. 12, 2013 and May 2, 2014.

--Cameron D. Sealey, 26, for burglary when he allegedly unlawfully remained in the home of Britteny M. Hill with the intent to commit a crime on March 5.

Sealey also was indicted for unlawful imprisonment when he allegedly would not allow Hill to leave her apartment.

--Ashley Leann Brown, no age available, for nine counts forgery when she allegedly passed $934.08 in forged checks drawn on the account of Molly Litteralbetween May 16 and May 17, 2014.

--Larry David Barker, 33, for four counts forgery when he allegedly passed $317.5 in forged checks drawn on the account of Molly Litteralbetween May 23 and May 27, 2014.

--, 45, for criminal mischief when he allegedly shot and killed a $5,000 registered beagle belonging to Jeffrey Martin on Dec. 28, 2014.

--Bobbi D. Hendricks, 37, for burglary when she allegedly unlawfully remained in the home of Hurman Jennings with the intent to commit a crime while armed with a rifle on Dec. 5, 2014.

--Michael P. Middleton, 38, for burglary when he allegedly unlawfully remained in the home of Hurman Jennings with the intent to commit a crime while armed with a rifle on Dec. 5, 2014.

--In two separate indictments, Hendricks and Middleton were indicted individually for theft by unlawful taking when they allegedly took a $2,500 Chevrolet Blazer belonging to James Raifsnider on Jan. 21; and defrauding a secured creditor of property when they allegedly sold a Monte Carlo to Lawrence Caudill and used the vehicle to secure a $1,200 loan from Carl Matthews of Mark's Auto Sales in Grayson.

--In a third indictment, Hendricks was indicted for receiving stolen property when she allegedly had a $150 shotgun belonging to Brian Stamper on Dec. 5, 2014.

--Nathan A. Reid, 33, for exploitation of an adult when he allegedly defrauded a Morehead woman of $4,202.91 from her checking account between May and July 2014.

--Mary M. Buckler, 34, for exploitation of an adult when she allegedly defrauded a Morehead woman of $4,202.91 from her checking account between May and July 2014.

--Anthony Paysen, 20, for assault when he allegedly fought with Deputy Jailer James Conley causing minor physical injury on Jan. 25.

--Joseph Lee Flatt, 34, on a superseding indictment.

The indictment of a person by a grand jury is an accusation only. That person is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial at which the state must prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
