Brad Monterio of Colcomgroup to Chair IMA XBRL Committee

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Colcomgroup, an international consultancy specializing in XBRL advisory services, announced today that Brad Monterio, Managing Director, has been appointed Chair of the Institute of Management Accountants’ (IMA^®) XBRL Committee. IMA is the global association for accountants and financial professionals in business. Mr. Monterio will participate in the Committee’s charge furthering the study, development, and adoption of XBRL in the management accounting profession. Mr. Monterio will Chair the Committee through June 30, 2012. The Committee is a volunteer advisory committee of IMA, comprised of professionals from various industries around the world.

The Committee includes an Outreach Working Group, which manages internal/external advocacy and communication to IMA members and stakeholders; and a Taxonomy Working Group, which manages IMA’s role in developing XBRL taxonomies, creating member resources, monitoring technical developments related to the global XBRL standard, and evaluating sustainability and reliability of XBRL market information architecture.
