Bottaro Law Sponsors “Get Gored for Good” Charity Run for Amos House

Cranston, RI -- (ReleaseWire) -- 04/24/2015 -- On Sunday, April 26, Providence personal injury law firm Bottaro Law will be sponsoring the "Get Gored for Good" charity run and festival. The event, which is a more amusing and safer version of Spain's famous Running of the Bulls, involves a two-mile walk/run, with members of the Providence Roller Derby League in light-hearted pursuit of the participants. This will be the third consecutive year that Bottaro Law has sponsored the event.

"Get Gored for Good" raises funds for Amos House, a non-profit social services agency that helps thousands of men, women, and children in and around Providence each year. What began as a one-building homeless shelter almost forty years ago has grown into a wealth of services and programs for the city's homeless, hungry, and impoverished. The organization provides daily meals, vocational programs, literacy programs, addiction treatment programs, and mother-child reunification programs, among many others, to Rhode Islanders in need.

"Amos House truly reaches out to those in the community who are in great need of resources, assistance, and simple compassion," said founding attorney Mike Bottaro. "We are extremely proud to support their mission and the Bottaro team will be out in full force running with the rollerbulls on Sunday in addition to helping sponsor the event itself."

"Get Gored for Good" begins with a 10 a.m. registration at Waterplace Plaza. The 2-mile fun run begins at 11.a.m., as runners and walkers are chased by roller derby members, sporting their skates, bull horns, and red paintbrushes. The day ends with an after-party at Burnside Park, which takes place from noon until 3 p.m. and features music and local food and drink.

Please visit the Get Gored for Good website for more information, to donate, to volunteer, or to register for the event.
