Black Hills Corp. Announces Garner Anderson as Vice President, Chief Risk Officer, and Brian Iverson as Vice President, Treasurer

RAPID CITY, S.D., March 31, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Black Hills Corp. (NYSE: BKH) today announced two leaders will be filling the roles of treasurer and chief risk officer, effective immediately. Garner Anderson, the current vice president, treasurer and chief risk officer will continue as vice president, chief risk officer. Brian Iverson will assume the vice president, treasurer role. Both will report to Anthony Cleberg, executive vice president and chief financial officer for Black Hills Corp.

"As we continue to make investments to grow Black Hills Corp., the scope of our financial leadership in the areas of enterprise risk management, cash management, capital management and financing increase in importance and complexity," Cleberg said. "To ensure we are prepared to provide the support needed, we are augmenting our capabilities within the finance organization to strengthen our focus in these two distinct areas."

Anderson has been with the company since 1988 and has an accounting degree from University of South Dakota and a master of finance degree from Arizona State University. During his time at Black Hills, he has advanced through numerous positions, including internal audit, pension administration, risk insurance, financial management and treasury.

Iverson joined Black Hills Corporation in 2004 and has worked in various positions within the legal, regulatory and resource planning areas. He is a certified public accountant and has a master of business administration degree and a law degree from University of South Dakota. Before joining the company, Iverson spent time in the banking industry and the private practice of law where he focused on business and financial transactions.
