BRIEF: Woman facing possible felony DUI [The Montana Standard, Butte]

April 11--A woman faces a possible felony driving under the influence charge after she was allegedly found passed out in a vehicle Monday morning.

Police received a report of a pickup truck that was blocking traffic just after 11 a.m. at Atlantic and Michigan. Police say the female driver and her male passenger were found passed out in the vehicle.

Investigators suspect the two were under the influence of some type of illegal drug.

The suspected driver, Tasha LaFond, 33, faces possible charges of DUI fourth offense, and misdemeanor careless driving, no liability insurance, driving with a revoked license and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the police report.

The passenger, Lance LaFond, 32, was arrested in connection with several counts of criminal contempt for failing to show up for court hearings, police say.
