Feb. 04--Corning youth football/cheer sign-ups

Sign-ups for those interested in playing football or being a cheerleader for the Corning Lions are being held several times in the upcoming months.

February dates are Feb. 9 and 23 from 1-3 p.m. in the Corning Union High cafeteria.

Cost is $165 + $40 volunteer fee per football player, with $100 due at sign-ups; and $285 + $40 volunteer fee per cheerleader, with $150 due at sign-ups.

There is a discount of $20 off per player or cheerleader if paid in full in February, and a $10 off for a veteran player or cheerleader who brings in a new recruit. The new player of cheerleader also gets a discount.

Players and cheerleaders need to bring a birth certificate, insurance information, a current wallet-sized photo and parent signatures.
