BRIEF: New director to oversee North Dakota crop insurance program

Aug. 27--Eric Bashore is the new director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture Risk Management Agency Billings Regional Office serving North Dakota and surrounding states.

Bashore has worked in the office as a risk management specialist since 2001 and as a senior risk management specialist since 2008. He also has worked for the Farm Service Agency.

In his new position, Bashore will oversee the federal crop insurance program.

Bashore holds a master of arts in agricultural economics from Washington State University and a bachelor of arts in finance from Michigan State University.
