BRIEF: Junior Service League works for My Girlfriend’s Closet

Jan. 29--WENATCHEE -- The Junior Service League of Wenatchee (JSLW) will hold its premier fundraising event, My Girlfriend's Closet, March 20-23 at 315 Colorado Place in East Wenatchee.

The event is sponsored by Premier One Properties. A portion of the event proceeds will be donated to nonprofit groups that help the homeless in our community, as will clothing items not sold at the event.

Some of the proceeds will also go toward a JSLW scholarship administered through the Community Foundation of NCW. The scholarship will be awarded for the first time this year.

Donations of gently used quality women's clothing, including sportswear, business attire, premium denim, fashion tops, vintage clothing, shoes, handbags and jewelry are being accepted at the following locations:

* Town Toyota, 500 3rd St., East Wenatchee

* Town Chrysler Jeep, 1001 N. Miller St., Wenatchee

* Allstate Insurance, Brad Huddle, 235 N. Mission St., Wenatchee

Donations will be accepted through March 15. Donation receipts are available at each site.
