BRIEF: Cross Insurance Center gets a new general manager; Mike Dyer ‘has left the company’

March 20--BANGOR, Maine -- The Cross Insurance Center has a new general manager, Global Spectrum Regional Vice President Doug Higgons announced late Wednesday in a news release.

Joseph Imbriaco will relocate to Bangor from Global Spectrum-managed Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, S.C., where he served as assistant general manager. Imbriaco replaces Mike Dyer, who is no longer with the company. Dyer was the former general manager of the Bass Park complex including the Bangor Auditorium. He was hired by Global Spectrum to manage the Cross Insurance Center in October 2012.

Imbriaco's new post became effective immediately, according to Higgons.

"Joe is a brilliant and creative leader who will help us in many exciting new ways at the Cross Insurance Center," Higgons said. "Joe also has a thorough understanding of utilizing the company resources and synergies to maximize opportunities for our clients, customers and guests. He will be a valuable asset to the Bangor region."

The release provided no information about the reason for Dyer's departure, saying only that he "has left the company."

Higgons was not immediately available for further comment Thursday morning.
