BRIEF: Aldi starts hiring process

March 21--CORSICANA -- Aldi is hosting two hiring events on the next two Mondays to fill about 24 positions for its new Corsicana grocery store location.

People interested in applying for store associate, shift manager and manager trainees are encouraged to apply.

The events will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, March 24, at the Hampton Inn, 623 Bryant's Way, just off U.S. 287. The second event will be from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.March 31, at the store at 3623 W. Highway 31.

To apply, candidates must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, be able to work between the hours of 6 a.m. and 10 p.m., be able to lift 45 pounds, and retail or management experience is preferred, depending on which positions being sought. Candidates should expect both a background check and a drug screening.

The hourly wages range from $11 an hour for associates to $22 an hour for manager trainees. Part-time staff working at least 20 hours a week will receive full health insurance, dental coverage and a 401K retirement benefit.
