Assurant Solutions Names Chris Harrison as President and CEO, Europe [Manufacturing Close – Up]

Assurant Solutions, a global provider of specialty insurance and insurance-related products, announced Chris Harrison will be appointed as President and CEO of its European businesses, subject to regulatory approval.

Assurant Solutions provides mobile device protection and extended protection programs and services through industry leaders in North and South America, the Caribbean, Asia and Europe.

According to a release, Harrison has served since April 2012 as CEO of Lifestyle Services Group - a provider of mobile device insurance in the United Kingdom. Assurant recently acquired LSG to broaden its footprint in the mobile protection market. A 25-year financial services executive, Chris has experience in the insurance market and fast-moving mobile insurance and services space. Prior to joining Lifestyle Services Group, Harrison served as Chief Executive of ACE Group's Combined Insurance Europe division, where he was responsible for developing the business model and distribution strategies across the region. Harrison will assume the Assurant Solutions European leadership role from former European CEO Mike Balsley, who will return to an executive position in the United States.
