Assurant Health and Zensar Enter into Multi-year Information Technology Support Agreement [Health & Beauty Close – Up]

Assurant Health, a provider of health insurance products for consumers, and Zensar Technologies, an RPG Enterprises company, have announced a five-year agreement for information technology support of a suite of business applications.

In a release, the companies said that the Zensar relationship spans development, testing, maintenance, enhancement and IT support for a suite of business applications used by Assurant Health for policy administration, underwriting and claims processing.

"We are happy to announce that as part of this new five-year engagement, Zensar will assist Assurant Health in implementing the infrastructure necessary to comply with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act," said Chris Dowler, Chief Information Officer, Assurant Health. "Working with Zensar we can increase productivity and enhance the value of our investments in Assurant Health IT initiatives."

According to the companies, through the new five-year agreement Zensar becomes a preferred IT provider, expanding upon the service relationship with Assurant Health that began in 2005.
