(End of Clause) The Offeror s total proposed price will be utilized to evaluate if the proposal represents a fair and reasonable price. The total evaluated price includes the price of the phase-in period, base period, all option periods (to include the option to extend services in accordance with FAR 52.217-8) and the adjusted travel cost calculated by the Offeror and included in Section B.

a) Options. The Government will evaluate offers for award purposes by adding the total price for all options to the total price for the basic requirement. The Government may determine that an offer is unacceptable if the option prices are significantly unbalanced. Evaluation of options shall not obligate the Government to exercise the option(s). As part of price evaluation, the Government will evaluate its option to extend services (see FAR Clause 52.217-8) by adding one-half of the Offeror s final option period prices to the Offeror s total price. Thus, the Offeror s total price for the purpose of evaluation will include the phase in and base period, 1st option, 2nd option, and 1/2 of the 2nd option. Offerors are not required to enter a price for the six-month period. As prescribed in 17.208(g), insert a clause substantially the same as the following: Option to Extend the Term of the Contract (Mar 2000) (a) The Government may extend the term of this contract by written notice to the Contractor within 30 days ; provided that the Government gives the Contractor a preliminary written notice of its intent to extend at least 60 days before the contract expires. The preliminary notice does not commit the Government to an extension. (b) If the Government exercises this option, the extended contract shall be considered to include this option clause. (c) The total duration of this contract, including the exercise of any options under this clause, shall not exceed 36 (months)(years). The applicable NAICS code for this procurement is 511210 with the related size standard of $35.5m.
