CONWAY, Ark., March 24 -- Hendrix College issued the following news release:
Hendrix alumnus John Glassford was recently named president and chief executive officer for Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield affiliate Health Advantage, the state's oldest health maintenance organization (HMO).
As regional executive for Arkansas Blue Cross' central office, John Glassford oversees group sales and marketing, medical management, risk management and provider services. Prior to joining the company in 2007 as an internal business consultant, Glassford served as a financial analyst/plan manager for Burgett & Dietrich, regional director of Managed Care for Tenet Healthcare Corporation and president and chief executive officer of NovaSys Health.
A native of Hot Springs, Glassford is a 1990 Hendrix graduate.
