Business Wire, Inc.

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Kroll Ontrack, a leading provider of legal technologies, data recovery and information management products and services, today announced that Dean Hager has been appointed president and CEO of the company by Altegrity, Inc., the parent company of leading data and information services, risk management, employment screening and investigative services providers. Mr. Hager will report to Altegrity CEO Sharon Rowlands. Acting Kroll Ontrack President Joel Vogel will assume the role of senior vice president of Legal Technologies and current senior executive Greg Olson will serve as senior vice president of Data Recovery and Software.

Prior to joining Kroll Ontrack, Mr. Hager was an executive at Lawson Software, Inc., an international software company with 4,000 global customers in manufacturing, distribution, maintenance and services industries. During more than 13 years at Lawson Software, he helped lead the company through substantial growth and transformation, including a successful Initial Public Offering in 2001 and several subsequent acquisitions.

Mr. Hager held a variety of leadership positions at Lawson Software in areas including products and strategy, marketing, sales and services. For the past several years, he served as executive vice president for Lawson’s S3 industries, a $460 million business consisting of health care, public sector, financial and human capital management business units. In addition, Mr. Hager is listed as an inventor on three U.S. software patents involving technological innovation in data processing.

“Dean is a dynamic leader, business innovator and skillful strategic planner, who significantly impacted Lawson Software’s growth, profitability and emergence as a global leader in the software solutions marketplace,” said Ms. Rowlands. “His extensive technology background, demonstrated leadership and proven results addressing customer needs will be a tremendous asset in driving Kroll Ontrack forward. Together with his experienced team, Dean will ensure Kroll Ontrack continues to deliver solutions that meet clients’ toughest data challenges and define the markets in which it serves.”

Prior to Lawson Software, Mr. Hager served as a senior program manager at IBM, where he worked for nine years. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science & Mathematics from St. Cloud State University and a Master of Arts degree in Management from St. Mary’s College.

“With deep expertise and unmatched technical capabilities, Kroll Ontrack is a proven leader in providing technology-driven services and software to legal, corporate and government entities as well as consumers,” said Mr. Hager. “I am thrilled to join such a well-established, committed organization with an innovative team of experienced professionals and look forward to the opportunity to drive further growth and increase the company’s long-term profitability.”
