Agent Media, Worksite Association to Partner on Groundbreaking Study
CLEARWATER, FL - June 6, 2007 – Agent Media and MI2, the oldest not-for-profit association in the worksite industry, are partnering together on Agent Media’s first-ever Benefits Market Study. The study is designed to give a representative snapshot of the benefits market today and the producer’s role within it.
Together, Agent Media and MI2 sought the expert advice of worksite professionals across the nation in crafting the study’s questions.
“The challenges facing today’s voluntary benefits producers are rapidly evolving. This survey will help us better understand these challenges and what we must do as an organization to better focus our energies in areas that have the greatest value to our member community,” says Greg Carlile, MI2’s executive director.
Among other topics, the study will cover:
-
Which worksite products are most favored by benefits producers
-
Exactly how much business agents are doing in the benefits market
-
Major challenges faced by benefits producers today
-
Preferred enrollment methods used
-
What producers value most in a benefits insurer and wholesaler/marketing organization
“This will be the second year we’ve published a Benefits Market Selling Guide, and we feel our first-ever benefits study will really help us pinpoint what agents need to know about this market to succeed,” said Christina Pellett, managing editor of the Agent’s Sales Journal.
The full results of the study will be published in the August national edition of the Agent’s Sales Journal and the October edition of Insurance Marketing magazine. Agent’s Sales Journal will also run the comprehensive Benefits Market Selling Guide, which will cover products, marketing, and more.
