Aegon Religare Life Insurance Gets E-Business Leader Award at the Indian Insurance Awards [Manufacturing Close – Up]

The Indian Insurance Awards recently honoured Aegon Religare Life Insurance (ARLI) as the E-Business Leader, under the category of Overall Insurance Industry Awards.

According to a release, the E-Business Leader award seeks to honor an insurer that has deployed the online insurance channel effectively for marketing, lead generation and sales for the business. The award seeks to commend an insurer bringing special focus on this nascent distribution channel.

At the occasion, KS Gopalakrishnan, Executive Director at ARLI said, "Aegon Religare Life Insurance is extremely proud and happy to be honoured as the E-Business Leader at the Indian Insurance Awards. It gives me immense pleasure to accept this well-deserved award. It further strengthens our position as pioneers of Online Life Insurance in India. The company said the Indian Insurance Awards were held at the Sofitel Hotel in Mumbai on June 21. The jury members were, S B Mathur, Part-time Member IRDA, Former Secretary General, Life Insurance Council; R Krishnamurthy, Senior Advisor, Towers Watson; A K Roy, Chairman & Managing Director, GIC Re; V Manickam, Secretary General, Life Insurance Council; R Chandrasekaran, Secretary General, General Insurance Council.

Aegon, a life insurance, pension and investment company, Religare, a financial services group and Bennett, Coleman & Company, a media house, have come together to launch Aegon Religare Life Insurance Company Limited (ARLI).
