AXA Equitable Promotes Kevin Byrne to Executive Vice President
Chief Investment Officer and Treasurer Joins the Company's Executive Management Committee
NEW YORK,Dec. 11/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company, the primary insurance subsidiary of AXAFinancial, Inc., announced today that Kevin R. Byrne was recently elected executive vice president by the company's board of directors. Mr. Byrne is chief investment officer and treasurer of AXA Financial and its subsidiaries, including AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company. With this new appointment, Mr. Byrne becomes a member of AXA Equitable's Executive Management Committee.

Mr. Byrne is responsible for the strategy and oversight of the investment portfolios of AXA Financial and its subsidiaries. In addition, he is responsible for the company's treasury functions and hedging programs that support products and investments. Mr. Byrne also provides oversight of the U.S. investor relations activity of AXA Financial's global parent organization, AXA Group. He reports to Richard Dziadzio, chief financial officer.
Mr. Byrne joined the company in 1989. He became treasurer in 1995, a senior vice president in 1997 and chief investment officer in 2004.
