AP Exclusive: IOC recommends gender-test centers
LONDON (AP) _ The International Olympic Committee is recommending the establishment of special medical centers to deal with athletes who have ambiguous sexual characteristics. The IOC also wants rules put in place by sports bodies to determine their eligibility to compete on a "case by case" basis when gender is called into question.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) _ Tom Brady has pulled out of the Pro Bowl after a season in which he played with rib and finger injuries. He has been replaced by Matt Schaub of the Houston Texans. The NFL announced the change of AFC backup quarterbacks on Wednesday. Brady and the rest of the New England Patriots had physicals after their 33-14 opening-round playoff loss to Baltimore on Jan. 10.
Judge rules Leach lawsuit can go forward
LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) _ A judge ruled on Wednesday that fired Texas Tech coach Mike Leach's lawsuit against the university can go forward but not as quickly as his attorneys wanted. State District Judge William Sowder denied a motion by Leach's attorneys to speed up taking depositions from school administrators and obtaining documents relevant to the case.
Super Bowl will be in Dolphins' Sun Life Stadium
MIAMI (AP) _ The Miami Dolphins treat stadium names like quarterbacks, changing them often. Beginning this week, the team's home is Sun Life Stadium. A five-year naming rights agreement with Toronto-based Sun Life Financial was confirmed at a news conference Wednesday at the stadium. The deal is for at least $4 million a year and perhaps more, depending on postseason success for the Dolphins and Florida Marlins, the stadium's baseball tenant through next year.
Cotto appears ready to return to ring
NEW YORK (AP) _ Former welterweight champion Miguel Cotto is expected back in the ring in June, likely challenging junior middleweight titleholder Yuri Foreman at Madison Square Garden. Cotto plans to watch countryman Juan Manuel Lopez fight Steven Luevano for a featherweight title on Saturday night in the theater at MSG. That fight is part of a double-header that sees Yuriorkis Gamboa and Rogers Mtagwa fighting for another featherweight belt.
UFC's Brock Lesnar ready for return
Brock Lesnar is ready to resume training to defend his UFC heavyweight title after a serious intestinal problem derailed his career and endangered his life. Lesnar hasn't been in the octagon since defending his title at UFC 100 last July, when he beat Frank Mir. He is expected to return this summer, likely fighting the winner of Mir's March 27 bout with Shane Carwin.
Raiders interview potential assistants
ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) _ Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis has started interviewing potential assistants for next season even while he continues to mull the fate of coach Tom Cable. ESPN.com reported the Raiders interviewed Baltimore Ravens quarterbacks coach Hue Jackson about becoming the team's offensive coordinator.
