AAA Missouri: Auto Club of Southern California Insurance Group Ranks Tops in J.D. Power Study [Manufacturing Close – Up]

The insurance group that provides insurance to AAA Missouri members, Auto Club of Southern California Insurance Group, has been ranked highest in the national J.D. Power 2013 U.S. Auto Claims Satisfaction Study, according to an announcement made by the market research company.

According to a release, this is the first time the group has achieved the top ranking in the Auto Claims study.

"We are honored to receive this recognition," said Jim McGrath, president of AAA Missouri. "This acknowledgement of our commitment to customer satisfaction is particularly gratifying, because our insurance group which includes Automobile Club Inter-Insurance Exchange and Auto Club Family Insurance Company has expanded during recent years to provide auto insurance to AAA members in 21 states. This recognition is a demonstration of our employees' commitment to work hard every day to ensure that we continue to provide high- quality levels of satisfaction."

The ranking is based on a study of nearly 12,000 auto insurance customers who experienced a claim and were asked to rate their primary insurance companies on six factors: first notice of loss, service interaction, appraisal, repair process, rental and claims settlement. The Auto Club of Southern California Insurance Group earned high rankings in all six areas, scoring a total of 889 points out of 1,000 possible points. The industry average score was 855.

"It is very important that our staff members are trained to respond with caring, courtesy, and competency to give our insured members peace of mind they've come to expect from AAA Missouri. Power study as a respected, meaningful benchmark, and we have worked diligently to put systems and practices in place that allow our claims adjusters to respond quickly and appropriately to the claim while keeping the insured member informed. The Auto Club of Southern California Insurance Group has more than 2.5 million policies throughout its territories, including auto, home, watercraft and umbrella. The largest percentages of policies are located in California, Missouri and Texas. Insurance is underwritten by the Interinsurance Exchange of the Automobile Club, AAA Texas County Mutual Insurance Company, Auto Club Indemnity Company, and Missouri-based Automobile Club Inter-Insurance Exchange and Auto Club Family Insurance Company.
