The American Health Care Act suffered a major blow today after Republican lawmakers said they have not reached a deal with President Donald Trump that would allow them to support the bill, The Hill reported this afternoon.
House GOP leaders are delaying today’s expected vote on the health care bill, according to The Hill.
The AHCA was set for a vote today, but the conservative House Freedom Caucus has voiced their opposition to the bill. Members of the group met with Trump in a last-ditch effort to attempt to amend the bill, but left the White House without coming to an agreement.
