Camp Hill, Pa. -- It is with regret that we report the death of a colleague, Peter A. Winer. Pete was 54 when he died on June 29 as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Silver Spring, Pa.
Our hearts and thoughts go out to his family, especially his four sons, Jacob, Alex, Ben and Cole Winer.
Pete was vice president of marketing at InsuranceNewsNet for only a couple of months but he left a strong impression on us. Those who knew Pete know he always made his mark wherever he went.
Many might know Pete from his extensive career as an insurance producer and marketer in Baltimore and Nashville and also recall his wide-ranging intellect and curiosity.
We remember those qualities fondly and we also recall that Pete was always pushing to do more, do better and test the rules. Pete had a rebellious spirit and a childlike wonder that were endearing and, of course, challenging.
Pete was a restless searcher, for answers and experience. We wish him well on his journey.
