Jennifer Mahoney named Chief Operating Officer of Heffernan Insurance Brokers

WALNUT CREEK, Calif., April 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Heffernan Insurance Brokers, one of the largest full-service, independent insurance brokerage firms in the United States, recently promoted Jennifer Mahoney to the position of Chief Operating Officer.  As COO, Mahoney will oversee corporate governance, contracts, property and facilities management, mergers & acquisitions, corporate communications, philanthropy & wellness, and internet strategy. 

Mahoney, 30, has been with Heffernan for seven years in various operations of the group, most recently as Vice President, Office of the CEO, where she was integral to the planning and execution of the company's continuing expansion.  In addition to her new role in operations, Mahoney will continue to execute special projects as needed.

A native of Marin County, Mahoney is a graduate of University of California at Berkeley, where she earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering.
