U.S. RE Names Scott J. Bishop Senior Vice President

Pearl River, N.Y. June 25, 2013 - Mr. Joseph Fedor, Executive Vice President of U.S. RE Corporation today announced that Mr. Scott J. Bishop has been named Senior Vice President, of US RE Corporation. According to Mr. Fedor, Mr. Bishop brings great depth of experience in both reinsurance and in the Northeast market itself, adding additional strength in several of the market sectors in which U.S. RE and its related companies will be expanding.

Scott Bishop served as Senior Vice President for BMS Intermediaries, Inc. based in New York. As a senior member of the Property and Casualty Business Unit, his predominate focus was growing and enhancing the BMS regional carrier client portfolio. With over 25 years of experience in the industry, Mr. Bishop has long specialized in developing reinsurance solutions, market capacity and placement services for companies located in the Northeastern portion of the US. He has over 25 years of experience in assisting regional companies in assessing needs and complying with regulatory statutes unique to the State of New York.

Prior to joining BMS, Mr. Bishop was the president and chief operating officer of Guilderland Reinsurance Company, and vice president of Guy Carpenter and Company Inc., managing the branch office operations in Albany, New York. He began his reinsurance career in 1989 when he joined the Guilderland Mutual Reinsurance Company as an account executive.

Mr. Bishop holds the Associate in Reinsurance designation and is a graduate of the State University of New York at Oneonta, with a Bachelor's of Business Economics Degree.
