US RE Names Jeff Maguire Controller

Insurance accounting professional joins Pearl River headquarters staff.

Pearl River, New York - October 21, 2014—U.S. RE has named Mr. Jeff Maguire to serve as the Company’s Controller, working from the group’s Pearl River, New York headquarters. Mr. Maguire will be responsible for management reporting, budgeting and day-to-day financial operations for the 25 year old diversified reinsurance brokerage and its related operations worldwide.

According to Dick Davies, Vice President and CFO, Mr. Maguire’s appointment marks an important step for U.S. RE: “As a new team member we look to Jeff Maguire’s extensive experience and proven expertise to help U.S. RE further streamline our internal operations and our financial management resources,” he stated, adding: “As U.S. RE continues to collaborate with working ‘partners’ across the globe, our internal controls assume an important role in the administration and delivery formula, a formula with which Jeff is quite familiar. We welcome him to U.S. RE.”

A seasoned professional, Jeff Maguire served as Controller and Vice President of Operations for Augsburg Energy, LLC in Ramsey, NJ  where he managed financial, reporting, regulatory, and tax responsibilities as well as operational functions and administrative support. Prior to that, as an independent consultant he worked with Healthfirst Insurance Company and CHARTIS International Insurance Company and as Accounting Manager, Crum and Forster Insurance Company, Director of Treasury Operations and Reinsurance Accounting, AIG Companies in New York, and Assistant VP of Finance, Holborn Corporation.

Mr. Maguire holds a B.A. in accounting from Rutgers University.
