Woman charged with threatening to blow up Decatur bridge

DECATUR — Frustration with the banking system led a Decatur woman to call in a bomb threat Thursday involving the William B. Sands Viaduct, police said.

The threat, made during a call to the Federal Reserve Consumer Help Center, led to the roadway being closed for nearly two hours as a large contingent of Decatur police and firefighters conducted a search of the area and the structure.
