Weston man charged with DUI for October crash
Police said
Rombout, who suffered minor injuries in the crash, later admitted he had been drinking alcohol prior to the collision, according to police. An employee who was in the ambulance at the time of the crash also suffered "non-life-threatening injuries," police said. Both were transported to the hospital.
A warrant for Rombout's blood work was later granted to police, and the results showed he was three times the legal alcohol limit, with a blood alcohol content of .24, at the time of the crash.
Rombout turned himself in to police on Saturday and was charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence, operating a vehicle while under suspension, operating a vehicle without minimum insurance and failure to drive in the proper lane. He was held on
